All refractive and cataract surgeries are performed byowner and eye disease specialist, Dr. Zbigniew Wyrzykowski.
Eligibility tests, procedures, and follow-up examinationsare all performed by the clinic’s owner, Dr. Wyrzykowski, an eye diseasespecialist and ophthalmic department registrar. Dr. Wyrzykowski has years ofinternational experience performing eye microsurgery, working at such hospitalsas Elim Hospital, Republic of South Africa and St. Luke’s Hospital in Valetta,Malta.
Dr. Wyrzykowski underwent extensive training at privateophthalmology clinics in Pretoria and Johannesburg, at the UniversityOphthalmology Clinic in Cape Town (Republic of South Africa), UniversityHospital in Tromso (Norway), Moorfields Hospital (United Kingdom), and athospitals in Kuopio and Isalmi (Finland).
Dr. Wyrzykowski regularly participates in ophthalmologycongresses and seminars focusing on eye surgery, organised by the ESCRS(European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons), the WOC (WorldOphthalmology Congress), and the DOC (German Ophthalmic Surgeons) in Nurnberg,Germany.
Dr. Wyrzykowski is an ophthalmic specialist registeredwith the GMC (General Medical Council) in the United Kingdom and has more than20 years experience performing cataract operations and more than 10 yearsperforming laser vision correction treatments. He gained practical experiencein refractive surgery at Synslaser in Tromso (Norway) and holds a VisionCorrection Certificate from LaserSigth Technologies.
Dr. Wyrzykowski has also completed Excimer LaserOperation Training at Schwind and Ophthalmology Clinic in Ahaus, Germany and isthe recipient of various professional awards including the Certificate ofParticipation in the International Schwind User Meeting, the Certification inthe Implantation of Zeiss Phakic Lenses & Artisan/Artiflex Phakic IOLs fromOphtec in Groningen (Netherlands).
