A skilled and experienced surgeon with extensive training in Malaysia & Australia, Dr. Alan was attached with various hospitals till 2009, after graduating from University Malaya in 2000. During this period, he has helped many people regain their eyesight and their lifestyles.
While attaining his Masters in Ophthalmology from University Malaya in 2008, Dr. Alan has also co-authored numerous medical papers on eye diseases. He was attached to University Malaya Medical Center from 2004- 2008 where he specialised in Cataract surgery.
Currently, Dr. Alan is a fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology, a member of the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons, the Malaysia Medical Association and its Ophthalmology Society and also the National Specialist Registrar. In 2011, he participated in the 100 VISTA Rotary Club Free Cataract Surgery for the needy.
Dr. Alan is also very active in the local & international medical scene, with LIVE interviews with local TV stations & newspapers on his work, plus having recently presented at International conferences in Taiwan, the United States, Italy, Singapore, Tokyo, China and Spain. Many celebrities have also had their procedures done by Dr. Alan – including Gan Mei Yan and Jason from MyFM; Jentzen, Boon Min, Weon Kuan and Yunn Chzuan from Astro.
