Speaking to Michael, it was the first time I felt listened to, and that was reflected that back to me, instead of someone of trying to tick off boxes on a check sheet. I had sought therapy previously, to no avail, as the therapists were either patronizing or clinical. When I saw Michael was offering one free session of hypnotherapy, I thought it would be worth a try, and I might learn something to help me.
He balanced professionalism with a genuine desire to help people, and took me through each stage comfortably, explaining the process and aims clearly. Firstly, he listened to some of my issues, (for almost an hour actually, which must have been exhausting), then took me through a simple exercise (which we filmed), and ended with the hypnotherapy itself.
He emailed me the recording to listen to at home and explained I should listen to it, ideally, daily, to assist me in changing my mindset and the negative patterns impacting me.
After the first session, I felt encouraged, that someone actually wanted to understand how best to help me, instead of putting me into a category. I felt notably more relaxed and had a definite task to take away with me. I feel more equipped to face the barriers I have been struggling to overcome.
If you are considering hypnotherapy, but feel hesitant, I would certainly recommend giving Michael a call, and taking that chance on yourself.
