After much training with various companies and researching, I have chosen to be affiliated with Scalp Aesthetics for the use of their specifically designed Inks and Needles for SMP work. I am now a 'Master Techniction' for Scalp MicroPigmentation - I travel to Melbourne, Sydney, Darwin also performing SMP.
I am a hair Tech for hair transplant surgeries, a part of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery. All essential skills for hairline design, technique and clean disposable treatment technique and continuity of care when combining SMP and Hair Transplant procedures.
My experience as a Hair Tech began in 2007 with Dr. George Kerry, Hair Transplant surgeon, and while I gained valuable skills and knowledge as a hair tech, I wished to move to a bigger clinic offering newer techniques. I began with Dr. Marzola in 2008, refining my skills as a hair tech and now a hair transplant ‘Planter’.
I am passionate about this field and love the surgery side of hair restoration. Each patient has their own story why they have decided to walk through the door. I attended the ISHRS 2012 Annual conference in Alaska where I learned more about tissue prep, planting and FUE techniques.
SMP has recently become more popular with awareness in the last 12 months. As it is becoming more accepted by Dermatologists as a suitable long term camouflage option for different types of Alopecia, the need has increased for this specialised tattooing technique.
