Biography:

Professor Geeta Nargund is the Medical Director of CREATE Fertility.

She is also a Senior Consultant Gynaecologist and Lead Consultant for Reproductive Medicine services at St George’s Hospital, London. She has published more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific papers including abstracts and also several book chapters in the field of reproductive medicine. She is a pioneer in the field of Natural and Mild IVF and Advanced Ultrasound Technology in Reproductive Medicine.

She is an accredited trainer for Infertility and Gynaecological Ultrasound special skills modules by the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (RCOG) London and British Fertility Society (BFS). She pioneered the use of follicular Doppler in assessing “Egg quality” in humans. She also published the first scientific paper on “Cumulative live birth rates with Natural cycle IVF”. She is the Co-Editor-In Chief of The European Scientific Journal, Facts,Views and Vision in OBGYN and is on the International Editorial Board of the Scientific journal, The Journal of Human Reproductive Sciences. She has been a senior governor of primary and secondary state schools in south London.

Dr Hall-Nicolini studied medicine at St Bartholomew’s hospital, London and qualified in 1982.

She has been working in the fertility sector since 1989, in the UK and in Italy.

In the UK she has worked in the NHS and in several London private clinics, gaining experience in all aspects of fertility care and assisted conception. 

She has a particular interest in egg donation and having worked in many units where standard, high stimulation ivf is the norm, she is very excited to join Create Health . She has known of professor Nargund’s work in mild and natural ivf for some time and is also convinced by the gentle approach to ivf , giving better quality eggs at all ages.

She is also very keen to promote awareness in the natural decline in egg reserve , ensuring that all women know  the option of egg freezing is real , successful and available.

Dr Moses Batwala

He qualified from the University of Leeds attaining his Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) in 2001. He became a Diplomat of the Faculty of Reproductive and Sexual Health (DFRSH) in London in 2005 and a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecology (MRCOG) in 2009.

He completed his Consultant training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, receiving his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2013 from the South Yorkshire Deanery in Sheffield. He then embarked on a Clinical Research Fellowship in Infertility and Reproductive Medicine and Masters of Science (MSc) at the University of Oxford in 2013. As a Researcher at University of Oxford, he has organised multicentre studies in his particular area of interest “Quality of Life (QoL)” of Couples undergoing infertility treatment and “Health Economics” of fertility treatment. His interests and research work has led him to collaborate with Merck Serono, and he has delivered presentations at the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) Conferences.

He is also a keen Ultra-Sound Sonographer with “HyCoSy and Saline Sonography” to investigate the fallopian tubes and the endometrial cavity as part of fertility investigation and treatment. He is an active member of the British Fertility Society (BFS).

Dr Sweta Priyanka

I am a Consultant in Gynaecology, Reproductive Medicine and surgery. I qualified as a doctor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Pune India in 2002 and finished my Post Graduation in 2005. Subsequently I completed my specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the East of England (Cambridge).

During this period I gained broad clinical experience in general Obstetrics and Gynaecology and was awarded MUM award in November 2013 at the House of Lords for excellent management of a patient in labour. I subsequently completed the Advanced Skills Training Modules (ATSMs) in Subfertility and Reproductive Endocrinology and Paediatrics and Adolescent Gynaecology. I also hold a diploma from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare. I obtained CCT from the East of England Deanery in 2014. I then did fellowship in Assisted Conception at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital for 2 years where I gained a wider and holistic experience in the specialty to provide and evidence based treatment. I have been certified by the British Fertility Society in Pelvic Ultrasound, Embryo Transfer and Intrauterine Insemination techniques, male infertility and management of infertile couples. I am a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), the British Fertility Society (BFS) and European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE). I have been involved in various local, national and international presentations in societies like BSGE, ESGE,ESHRE.

I have a special interest in assisted reproduction techniques, fertility preservation and management of women with low ovarian reserve.

Dr Rukma Bhattacharya

Biography:

Dr Bhattacharya had her basic MBBS training at the NRS Medical College in India and moved to the UK in 2002 for higher training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She was an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Trainee at the Severn and Peninsular Deanery. Whilst working in gynaecological cancer, she developed an interest in fertility preservation and began a special skills training course in fertility. After the completion of her training, instead of starting a consultant post, she decided to take up a fellowship in fertility at the IVF Unit in Derriford Hospital in Plymouth. She then worked as a Locum Consultant at the Fertility Unit at Barts Hospital after finishing her fellowship.

Subsequently, she joined the Derriford Hospital as a Consultant in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Reproductive medicine. After working in the NHS as a consultant for almost five years, she went on to join the CREATE Fertility team in 2017. She is excited to work in a unit which practices and advocates a more woman friendly approach to fertility treatment, focusing on the ‘quality not quantity’ of eggs and embryos.
