The Baby Scan Studio - Chelmsford

Originally qualified as a Radiographer in 1986 and then qualified in Ultrasound in 1992. She worked in the NHS as a Sonographer for 5 years until joining GE Healthcare - the Number 1 manufacturer of Ultrasound Equipment globally. Using her clinical expertise, she worked internationally for several years in product development which involved her in research and testing of new technologies such as 3D and 4D imaging and Contrast media in Ultrasound.

Worked in the Intensive Care Unit but loved Obstetrics so much that she decided Midwifery was going to be the path of her professional career and she qualified as a midwife in March 1989. trained and worked for 13 years at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow, Essex. Her career included working in the Special Care Baby Unit and being a hospital based midwife which encompassed all areas of midwifery, i.e. Antenatal Clinic, ante and postnatal wards and delivery suite. Eventually Alyssa became a Community Midwife. She worked her way up the ladder to achieve the post of Team Leader.

Midwife- Sonographer who initially trained as a Midwife and qualified in 1991. After enjoying midwifery for several years Jo wanted to extend her practice and experience into Ultrasound and so took up the challenge of a new speciality. She qualified in Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1991 and has since then become Superintendant Sonographer at Wexham Park Hospital.
