Graduated from Bangalore College and soon went to the United Kingdom for further training in obstetrics and gynecology. After having trained from some of the most prestigious hospitals around Birmingham she returned to India as a "Member of the Royal college of obstetrics and gynecology (MRCOG)".She has also super specialized in fertility and has passed her fellowship Examination in Reproductive Medicine.

MBBS from Kasturba Medical Collage in Manipal and MS in General Surgery from Bangalore Medical College. He then spent 6 years in the UK where he was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Edinburgh and Glasgow gaining considerable experience in gastrointestinal surgery during his stay in UK, including advanced keyhole operations. He returned to India in the year 2000 and has been one of the first surgeons to perform advanced keyhole operations on the gastrointestinal tract including laparoscopic cancer surgery, laparoscopic surgery for benign gastrointestinal conditions in the state.
