Assoc. Prof. Serdar Özateş was born in 1987 in Eskişehir. After his education at Eskişehir Anatolian High School, he continued his education at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 2006 and graduated in 2012. In 2013, he started working as an assistant doctor at Ulucanlar Eye Training and Research Hospital and became a specialist doctor in 2017. In 2018, he received the title of Fellow of International Council of Ophthalmology (FICO). Between 2017 and 2020, he worked at Dr. Sami Ulus Gynecology and Child Health and Diseases Training and Research Hospital, Kastamonu Taşköprü State Hospital and Kars Harakani State Hospital. Between July 2020 and February 2022, he worked as a doctor lecturer (Asst. Assoc.) in the Department of Ophthalmology at Istanbul Okan University Hospital.
