Mr. sci.med. Dr. Gordana Suvajac, medical director of the eye hospital Profesional, was born in Belgrade, where she finished Medical School and residency in ophthalmology. She opened private eye clinic Optic Profesional in 1994. in New Belgrade as the first ophthalmologist in Serbia who resigned from the civil service to be fully devoted to private practice and professional development. She spent years of training in the field of diabetes, diabetic retinopathy and laser interventions with Professor Dr. Svetislav Milenkovic, head of the Department of Diabetes and Vascular Disease, Institute of Ophthalmology, Clinical Center of Serbia. Master's degree in 2005. at the Medical Faculty in Belgrade on contact lenses thesis. She was among the founders of the Serbian Contact Lens Society and now is a member of the Scientific Committee. She began doing Refractive surgery (laser vision correction) in India in 2008 with Professor Agarval Amar, one of the leading eye surgeons in the world.

He passed the specialist exam in 1980. , LL.M. in 1982. And completed his PhD in 1985. at the Medical Faculty in Belgrade.In 1976.he became a teaching assistant at the Ophthalmology , and since 2001. is a full professor. He has published about 150 professional and scientific papers. He was a mentor to several master's and doctoral dissertations (30). He participated several times in the UK and was elected an associate member of Royal College of ophthalmologists (1987). He trained in Germany, USA, Italy, Czech Republic, Finland, Malta, Hungary, France, Bulgaria, Turkey. He is a head of the Department of vascular diseases and diabetes which is also his primary domain of interest. (Laser photocoagulation, fluoroscein angiography, OCT).
