I came in for a tonsillectomy due to having bad tonsil stones for an extended period of time. The NHS wouldn't do anything for me and so I decided to go private, I heard this hospital was good and so chose here.
I don't know if it was good value as it is a large amount of money, plus the consultation fee which seemed unnecessary given it was 10 minutes of information I already knew, and the doctor trying to convince me not to go through with it.
My visit for the surgery was very good, everyone was super friendly and made sure I was alright. However, I don't believe I was informed of everything I could expect, leading to some symptoms being a bit of a surprise. For example, I was struck with terribly painful earache which I wasn't told to expect. I was also told any bleeding was a big concern, however when I did have some it turned out it wasn't too bad due to it being dark old blood which was fine; this was also not explained before hand.
There was also a comment passed by the surgeon that I didn't agree with and left me somewhat unhappy. The lunch menu was also little limiting for someone with a smaller pallet, which could be expanded upon.
