Sadly any relief has been short-lived

2.5 50 Biomechanical assessment

Three visits over the last several/many months - primarily to remove, or at least to reduce the discomfort of, corn on my left-foot small toe.

Sadly any relief has been short-lived, and my corn still returns regularly and makes its presence felt! However, the consultation has always been friendly and well-meaning... it is just that my corn does not co-operate!

My best solution seems to be to wear sandals if appropriate. However, not always practical.

Other than the "corn" issue, I have no other adverse comments about the chiropodist treatment received (although the £50 fee per visit seems inappropriate for the last couple of visits).

Hello, thank you for your review. The price increase is due to the level of ppe we now have to use and the cost of it. Unfortunately there is no way to get over this in the current climate. Corns do come back and weight over the area causes them to recur. The appointment is also for a full review of both feet as well as nail cutting and removal of any other hard skin area too. Hope that helps

Maninder Bharj graduated from the University of Northampton with an upper second class honours degree in Podiatric Medicine. Since qualifying Maninder has worked both privately and in the NHS in both clinical and domiciliary settings.

She is state registered with the Health Professionals Council and a member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.

She maintains her commitment to podiatry by being a member of SOCAP by attending various courses and keeping up with the continued professional development as required by the HPC. As well as home visits she has also undertaken research which has been published in medical journals.
