The Hand Therapy team is comprised of highly experienced Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists at a Senior or Clinical Specialist level. The Hand Therapists share the skills of both professions in addition to their extended role as wound care nurse and plaster technician. Collectively the skills and knowledge possessed by the hand therapist ensure holistic care from initial assessment through to discharge. Conditions regularly seen at the LHWU The LHWU manages both acute trauma as well as acquired conditions affecting the hand and wrist.
