Thankfully I am feeling much betterAlan, UK, 29 06 17

Though an infrequent visitor over the years,(thankfully I am normally fairly healthy) I have always found St Johns Medical centre to be very efficient when needed, The last appointment I had was for acid reflux and a regurgitating problem, and was rapidly sent for a colonoscopy which revealed a sliding hiatus hernia and scarring in the oesophagus .I was prescribed an acid reducer and thankfully I am feeling much better. I have no hesitation in recommending this clinic.

If you currently use a Chiropodist / Podiatrist or you have uncomfortable feet then try one of our luxury treatments and see how wonderful your feet can feel.
Diabetes Treatment up to £30
Get your feet checked out by a qualifed Chiropodist every 6 months Why? Because diabetes can have an affect on the blood supply which in turn leads to complications in the legs and feet. How? Damage to the nerves due to reduced blood supply can cause loss of sensation. Pain, temperature and pressure sensitivity are lost in varying degrees. This increases the risk of injury and if left unnoticed can lead to ulceration. The reduced blood supply affects the bodies healing power and high levels of glucose increases the chance of infection. These factors separately or combined increase the risk of ulceration and worse amputation. Therefore, it is essential that help is sought quickly if you are worried about the health of your feet.
Type I Diabetes
What can you do? Maintain good diabetic control as this can reduce the risk of developing complications. Examine your feet daily. Cover any breaks in the skin with a dry sterile dressing, if any redness or swelling occurs seek medical advice . Do not burst blisters. Due to loss of sensation, keep your feet away from direct source of heat. Check your footwear for sharp objects and creases in soles. Loss of pain sensation may not alert you to any discomfort.
