The Experienced Dietitian

Elbha is based in Malahide, Co Dublin and has extensive dietetic experience based in both the public and private sector. Elbha graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Human Nutrition from Queen Margaret University College, Edinburgh in 2001. She then went on to achieve a Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics in 2003. Elbha is registered with the Health Professional council and is a member of the British Dietetic Association a similar organisation to the Irish Nutrition and Dietetic Institute. Elbha has worked as a registered dietitian for the past 9 years. She has worked throughout the United Kingdom within the NHS in both out-patient and in-patient settings and has recently returned home to Ireland after a number of years working in Bahrain. Throughout my 9 years as a dietitian I have gained considerable experience across a wide field of dietetics – and life! I developed an understanding of a variety of cultures and a keen interest in how people think and behave when it comes to food. My aim is to always provide appropriate and accurate advice, both verbal and written, in an easy to understand, interesting and informative manner. I derive great satisfaction from helping people achieve their goals in a practical and enjoyable way and I believe that improving one’s relationship with food is the key to achieving optimal health. I have been involved in and thoroughly enjoy my work as a nutrition educator to a variety of audiences through - One-to-one consultations - Article writing - Public and Professional talks - Recipe analysis - Nutrition advice to schools & industry
