Acne Scars: Acne Scarring TreatmentThere is considerable variation in types and degrees of acne scarring from one person to another but the emotional turmoil this condition causes is shared by all. For many years the only treatment options for acne scars were much too invasive and only minimally effective.  At Laserina we offer a few treatment options that require minimal or no downtime. These treatments will significantly improve shallow and mild acne scarring. Acne scars may be presented on your skin in different shapes and forms. They can be flat or depressed and red, white or normal skin colour. They may fairly well localised or generalised. They may look worse due to volume loss under the skin from aging. They may be recent or old. All of these factors help us determine the course of the treatment. The only sure method of preventing or limiting the extent of acne scars is treating acne early in its course, for as long as necessary. IPL is the desired option for most due to good outcomes, low risk and minimal or no downtime.  If Acne is in a long remission phase or is not active; IPL photo-rejuvenation will be advisable as a collagen remodeling treatment. This treatment will improve overall texture of the skin by stimulating growth of new collagen and elastin, therefore diminishing the scars appearance. It tightens the skin diminishing large pores/scars and giving the skin glowing appearance and gentle and natural uplift. Another successful treatment for Acne Scarring offered in our clinic is  DERMAPEN.  The Dermapen® treatment can provide dramatic results improving the appearances of the scars.
