An excellent Doctor who knows his stuff

5 50 Dermatologist Consultation

I have found Dr Porter to be very personable and put me at ease very quickly. He explained not only what I had but also how it could be dealt with.

I felt that he knew exactly what he was talking about, and was greatly reassured

5 50 Dermatologist Consultation • Paid: £210

I consulted Dr. Porter regarding some small skin growths that were bothering me - were they skin cancer or something that needed treatment? Dr. Porter was extremely helpful and was able to tell me fairly quickly that what I had was actinic keratosis caused by exposure to sunlight. He explained two different creams I could use if the growths ever became troublesome - but, basically, the growths were benign and could be dealt with by using a moisturising cream. I felt that he knew exactly what he was talking about, and was greatly reassured. He gave me some useful information regarding Efudix cream.

I had my appointment

1 50 Dermatologist Consultation

I had my appointment with him that was taken 10-15 minutes for him to decide what is the next thing to be done.

He had taken specimen samples from me and after a month and a bit of waiting, I received a Word format letter from his secretary without his signature saying it was double negative but should continue to be seen by him. I am now about to be seen by a Derma from a govt hospital and when I asked for the results of the blood and skin/nail tests the secretary informed me that he has not got any of the results that he can provide me.

Just wondering what the basis therefore of the letter his secretary sent on his behalf. How can I be provided with advice and continue to have treatment if he hasn't got my test results?

This has now caused more mental stress to me than before as, apart from the money I paid as per my insurance coverage, my insurance covered a great deal of money.

I was treated perfectly well and they managed to solve the problem for me

5 50 Dermatologist Consultation

I had a minor skin problem treated at this clinic. My GP referred me to them. He knew I had private health insurance and pointed me in the direction of the local expert. I was treated perfectly well and they managed to solve the problem for me.

I’m familiar with the hospital where the clinic’s located and on the day I visited, the place was unusually quiet. It was a hassle-free, painless experience. Aftercare was offered, but in the end, it wasn’t necessary for me to return.
