Mahoney Family Dentistry

Dr. Terry Mahoney is a more than just a dental provider, he is a provider in every sense of the word – he provides for his patients, staff, family and the community. Dr. Mahoney’s passion for serving and providing for others laid the foundation for the culture at Mahoney Family Dentistry. Dr. Mahoney believes every patient that walks through the door should be treated like family. Beyond serving patients of the practice, Dr. Mahoney is a devoted public servant. He provides free care through Give Kids a Smile and Mahoney’s Free Dental Day, financially supports several local nonprofits, highly encourages his staff to volunteer in the community and he himself volunteers regularly at Sr. Maura Brannick Dental Center. Dr. Mahoney graduated from Wabash College in Crawfordsville, IN with a bachelor’s degree in Biology in 1977. He then continued his education at The Indiana University School of Dentistry earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 1981. Upon graduation Dr. Mahoney was selected for a Residency in General Dentistry at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Indianapolis, IN. Dr. Mahoney received his ICOI Fellowship in Implantology through the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. This rigorous training kept Dr. Mahoney jet setting from New Jersey to Florida for the best and most current training. Dr. Mahoney welcomes you to join the family at the practice he started over 30 years ago!

Tara has been a hygienist in our practice since 2000. She graduated from the University of Southern Indiana’s hygiene program. Tara is married and has a son Nolan and daughter Melaina. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and friends, shopping and being outdoors.

Dr. Jessica Ginter moved to the South Bend area from Columbus, Ohio to join the Mahoney Family Dentistry team in 2014. Since then, Dr. Ginter and her husband, Ryan, have developed a love and appreciation for the South Bend community! If you ever need a recommendation for a good local restaurant, brewery, winery or beach, just ask Dr. G! Dr. Ginter attended Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio for her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University. Dr. Ginter continues to expand on her education by routinely attending conferences and trainings across the country to broaden her expertise and hone her skills. Dr. Ginter is an athlete at heart and is a workout junkie. After hours, you can often find her at the gym or on runs with her husband. She is active in the community as a member of the Young Professionals Network and enjoys volunteering at the Sister Maura Brannick Health Center. Dr. Ginter is looking forward to meeting your friends and family! She is currently accepting new patients!
