Town Dentistry - Johns Creek

As an Atlanta area native, she grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta, graduating from South Cobb High School in 1995. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgia State University, with a major in Speech Communication as well as a minor in Sociology. After graduation, Dr. Bussey became a dental assistant and discovered her true love, dentistry. After a brief stint as an assistant she enrolled in dental school at The Medical College of Georgia. Subsequently, Dr. Bussey graduated from The Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in May 2006. When not doing what she loves at one of her two busy dental practices, Dr. Bussey enjoys spending time with her family and friends, running and reading. A South Carolina native, she grew up in Fort Mill, SC a suburb of Charlotte, NC. She graduated from Fort Mill High School in 2006 and moved to Charleston, SC where she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry at The College of Charleston in 2010. She stayed in Charleston for an additional five years post college to complete her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2014 and a residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry in 2015. After residency, Dr. Thompson got her Georgia Dental license to move to Atlanta to be with her fiancé, Kip. After Dr. Thompson and Kip were married they settled in Brookhaven near the practice. They love traveling, dining out and going to music festivals as well as decorating their new home. She is a true southerner, born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. She graduated from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2003 and then attended Georgia Perimeter’s Hygiene program, from which she graduated in 2013. On her off time, she loves being outdoors hiking, biking, and trail running. She truly enjoys the fresh air and sunshine.
