Ever since I was a young girl, I knew I wanted to be a doctor. I wanted to help people live healthy lifestyles and feel good about themselves. When I was in high school, I had braces and, when they were removed, my new smile made me feel more confident and sure of myself. At that moment, I had found my life’s calling and future career. I would be able to accomplish both of my desires in the practice of dentistry. I am the oldest of six children, and was born and raised in a rural community in southeastern Iowa. I received my BA at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa in 1995, where I majored in Biology and minored in Musical Performance. I then went on to earn my Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Iowa’s College of Dentistry in 1998. I moved to Colorado in 1999 to take advantage of all the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer. I have been practicing in Colorado ever since. I am and have always been a pursuer of knowledge. I keep current with the most up-to-date dental skill and information by taking more than 100 hours of continuing education a year. Most of my post-graduate education has been completed at the Las Vegas Institute (LVI) for Advanced Dental Studies. LVI offers dentists and their teams from around the world a comprehensive curriculum that inspires life changes in their students’ practices and in their personal lives. It has helped me to keep striving for the best team members, materials, equipment, technologies, and dental labs to give you the most comfortable and exceptional dental experience you have ever received.
