Southwell Dental

Dr. Southwell grew up in Thousand Oaks and graduated from Thousand Oaks High School. He received a Bachelors Degree from Brigham Young University in Japanese with minors in business and music.

He then realized his childhood dream of becoming a dentist by attending the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in Louisville, Kentucky. After finishing dental school he desired to further his education and applied for and was accepted to the Advanced Education General Dentistry Program at the University of Texas Dental School in Houston, TX. The residency provided many learning and clinical opportunities not usually available to a first-year dentist.

After his residency, Dr. Southwell joined a dental practice as an associate in Farmington, New Mexico. He kept busy while there by performing all aspects of general dentistry. While he loved New Mexico, Dr. Southwell always had a desire to return to sunny southern California. He loves his job and looks forward to helping you achieve your optimum dental health.

Dr. Southwell is married to his beautiful wife Allison and has four kids. They enjoy going on hikes, going to the beach, playing Frisbee golf, and most especially going to Disneyland. In his free time he enjoys playing the cello and working in the garden.

Dr. Southwell is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Santa Barbara/Ventura County Dental Society.
