As an attending surgeon, Dr. Mizin practices at West Hills Hospital, Northridge Hospital Medical Center, and Motion Picture and Television Fund Hospital. A published author, his review on bone grafting procedures appears in the American Journal of Prosthodontics, and several research abstracts have been published in dental and scientific literature.
Today, Dr. Mizin lectures and supervises clinics for dental students and surgery residents in the oral surgery department at UCLA Dental School. Formerly, he taught implant dentistry and bone grafting techniques at the University of the Pacific. He is an active member of the American and California Dental Associations, American and California Associations of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and San Fernando Valley Dental Society, and is accredited by the California Dental Board as a continuing dental education provider.
Dr. Mizin travels worldwide volunteering cleft palate and other facial deformities surgeries to children in need.
