Everyone is unique but nearly everyone needs a thorough examination from ourselves first, even if already seen by a general dentist, so we can give our best advice and options that are best for you - a Cosmetic examination takes 45 mins and costs £125, but after this visit you will know what will work well for you (and what won't!), plus you'll have a plan and a list of those options, prices and order of treatment which you can then choose from, depending upon your wishes and budget of course. It's a detailed consultation, not to be confused with a quick 5 mins look!
If you go ahead with more advanced/cosmetic treatment of a value £1000 or more, the examination fee will be refunded against the total bill, so in effect it is then free to the patient.
