I had severe pain from one tooth on Thursday and very little sleep that night despite taking Ibuprofen, which had no effect. I went to the surgery on Friday morning and was told there was no emergency treatment as Dr Charro was out. However, Dr Charro came in after being asked for advice and quickly extracted the tooth. Had a root canal and crown done. Looks so much better and I feel so much more confident to smile. I've had to have dental work since I was fairly young. I'm 17 currently. It’s always been an understanding and gentle clinic and has helped when I got scared by putting on music or talking me through the process.

A big thank you to Dr Charro and his team. Initially I was an anxious and claustrophobic patient. A visit to the dentist for a check up and treatment was one to be endured rather than welcomed. Now I look forward to my appointments, my dental health is well looked after and I have every confidence that this will continue.

The Dental Practice has an highly skilled, professional, friendly and compassionate team with a willingness to explain treatments and answer questions in easily understandable lay persons language. This expertise helped to calm my anxiety and I was able to appreciate and comprehend the processes involved in the recommended treatment. I was given a comprehensive written and signed plan which I have found to be invaluable as a reminder of the agreed procedures, the timeframe and the cost. The building is in a good location and has excellent parking facilities. It is modern, well equipped with a welcoming atmosphere.

This practice provides a wide range of dental services with a mixture of NHS and private treatments. My recent plan included a combination of NHS and private care incorporating :-
* Assessment, consultation, advice and instruction.
* X-rays, scans and impressions.
* Simple and surgical extraction.
* Replacement and new fillings .
* Scaling and polishing.
* Michigan hard splint and occlusal equilibration.
* Restorative work.
* Large dental implant.

Professor Paul Tipton, Dr Jimmy Charro, Mr Vivek James, dental nurses and assistants were involved in my treatment.

I was impressed by the treatment I had to address the effects on my teeth and jaw from habitual teeth grinding. Professor Tipton and Dr Charro were very patient and reassuring, particularly as I sometimes struggled to articulate my jaw. Their ability to dispel my fears and to put me at ease instilled my trust in them. The outcome has resulted in a significant reduction in the pain in my jaw, a lessening in jaw clicking, an elimination of related headaches and I have a significant improvement in my bite and jaw movement.

The whole process from start to finish of my large dental implant was amazing. I had no idea how complex and interesting the process would be when I first considered it. Remarkably at one stage the treatment room became a sterile surgical theatre, Surprisingly, given all that was involved there was minimal pain. Such a fascinating experience and I am thrilled with the outcome. Dr Charro’s expertise in this area was very apparent.

I am indebted to all the clinicians involved in my dental care and to Mrs Margaret Bennett for her unfailing efficacy in managing my appointments and patiently responding to my queries either face to face or by phone.

I cannot praise Jimmy and the staff enough. I am terrified of dentists, but the care and treatment I received was fantastic. I had teeth removed, a filling, descale and polish, and dentures fitted. I was told exactly what was happening at every stage. If you need a caring dentist, then this is the place to go.

I cannot thank Jimmy and the team for there excellent practice. I have a phobia about dentists, but I couldn't have picked better. My teeth were shocking, some missing and dreadful tartaric the bottom ones. I had the bottom ones cleaned and polished, and they feel amazing. I had the top ones out and today I got my new dentures. I feel like a new woman and not afraid to smile anymore. Jimmy explained everything he was going to do, so no surprises. Everyone was so friendly and kind. I found Charro Dental practice to be very hygienic with helpful friendly staff.... Having a tooth extraction is not much fun but it was dealt with calmly and efficiently by Dr Charro ...who is both thorough and proficient...
