Registered Dental Surgeon BDS (Birm) Sean qualified from Birmingham University in 1999 and has worked full-time in general dentistry since. He joined Royal House Dental Centre in 2006 on a part-time basis and joined full-time in October 2011. His previous dental positions were in London and Twyford. Sean provides general, family dental care. He is also able to provide more complex restoration work, veneers, tooth-coloured fillings and tooth whitening. He works closely with our team of specialists and is heading up the general dental team. Sean practices all aspects of dentistry and takes a keen interest in any new technology and techniques to ensure patients get the best modern dentistry has to offer. He is committed to contunally developping his professional skills and takes time out of busy practice life to attend training courses run by leading international dentists to further his knowledge and skills in these areas.

Specialist in Prosthodontics BDS (London), MS (Univ of California) Principal dentist at the Royal House Dental Centre, Edward Hems BDS MS graduated from St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1991, following which he spent a period of two years as a senior house officer in Oral and Maxillo-facial surgery on a rotation between Basildon, Southend and Billericay. Edward spent a further two years in a general dental practice in Wimbledon, before pursuing a three year period studying Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics at the University of California San Francisco, combined with a Masters in Oral Biology. Edward returned from the US and was appointed full-time Clinical Lecturer in fixed and removable Prosthodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute. He was made a Specialist in Prosthodontics in 2000, the same year as he moved to Henley-on-Thames. He still maintains his link to the Eastman Dental Institute and is programme co-oordinator.

Registered Specialist in Periodontics BDS (Brist) MFDS RCS (Eng) MClinDent (Lond) MRD RCS (Eng) Constantine is an experienced Periodontist able to provide the full-range of specialist periodontal care and implant dentistry. Constantine graduated from University of Bristol Dental School in 1998 and won numerous prizes for the “elective project” carried out in the University of California, San Francisco. He then worked in several hospital posts and general practice both abroad and in the United Kingdom. During this time, he obtained the Membership in the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons, England. In 2003, Constantine undertook the specialist training in Periodontics and implant dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute, University College London. During his training, he was awarded a Masters of Clinical Dentistry with Distinction. His dissertation was on implant outcomes in treated periodontitis patients. This was presented at the British Society of Periodontology meeting in London. In 2006, Constantine obtained the Membership in Restorative Dentistry (Periodontics) from the Royal College of Surgeons, England and a certificate from the European Federation of Periodontology. Subsequently, gaining the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) and entered onto the General Dental Council Specialist list in Periodontics. Constantine held the appointments of Honorary Research Fellow/Associate and Clinical Lecturer/Teacher at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute teaching both final year specialist trainees and general dentists. He is also an examiner for the specialist examinations for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
