This long established, family oriented practice treats private patients and patients on the NHS. The clinic has an in house laboratory for the accurate fabrication of restorations. Referrals are provided for orthodontic and oral surgical procedures. State of the art technology and techniques are used by the team to ensure that patients attain and maintain long term dental and oral health and beautiful smiles. Services at the clinic include extensive first visit examinations, routine checkups, children’s dentistry, general and routine dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and restorative procedures.
Michael Arthur has been a vocational trainer for twelve years. He graduated from Glasgow in 1971 and gained the Diploma in General Dental Practice from The Royal College of Surgeons in 1993. In addition to General Practice he has been a part time Prison Dentist and a Dental Practice Inspector for Lanarkshire Health Board.
He is currently Chairman of the Scottish Council of the British Dental Association and a member of the Scottish Dental Vocational Training Committee.
He is also a member of the Scottish Dental Practice Committee and of the General Dental Practice Committee (UK) as well as a past Chairman of Lanarkshire Area Dental Advisory Committee.
Kelvin Colquhoun was a member of the very last year of students to graduate from Edinburgh Dental School before its closure in 1994. Following his vocational training in Port Glasgow, he joined our practice as an associate in 1996 and has been actively involved in vocational training for several years.
