BDS (Wales) 2002; M.F.D.S. R.C.S. Eng. GDC: 80801 Richard Smallwood is from Ryde. He qualified in dental surgery at the University of Wales, College of Medicine in 2002, spending his elective period at The University of Michigan where he completed a project studying the management of tongue cancers. Richard subsequently completed Vocational Training at a dental practice in central Cardiff. He went on to work for two years in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at Glan Clwyd Hospital in Wales. With this oral surgery experience, he returned to dental practice working in Wales before returning to the Isle of Wight where he has worked since 2008.

BDS (Wales) 2004; M.F.D.S. R.C.S. Eng. GDC: 83987 Naomi Portelli is from Anglesey. She qualified in dental surgery at the University of Wales, College of Medicine in 2004. During her time as an undergraduate, Naomi spent time studying at The Faculty of Odontology at Malmo University, Sweden. There Naomi undertook a project screening dental patients for Type 2 Diabetes using gingival blood. Naomi went on to complete her Vocational Training in Wales before working in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at Glan Clwyd Hospital. Following this post, she returned to dental practice and moved to the Isle of Wight in 2008.

DDM (Bulgaria) 2006; GDC:194804 Vladimir Tsarev has worked on the Isle of Wight since 2011. He joined the practice in August 2014 and enjoys every aspect of dentistry, particularly cosmetic work. He particularly enjoys living on the Isle of Wight with his wife, Savina who is also a dentist, and their two children.
