5 50 Temporary Filling • Paid: £40

Have been a very satisfied patient for a number of years but have moved from the area. I came back as an emergency however and will continue to be a patient. They must be the best dental practice on the planet. It is worth the journey. All the staff are so helpful and pleasant, great with nervous patients. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

5 50 Dentures, Dental Bridges • Paid: £4500

semi-permanent dentures/bridgework/cosmetic

I was absolutely delighted with the quality of the work and the efficiency of all of the staff at The White House. Mr Shukla is an excellent dentist and ensured his treatment schedules fitted in with my hectic diary (even scheduling in an appointment for 10pm! so I could see him on my return from a business trip). I am happy to recommend him to my friends and colleagues in particular after the excellent work he did bringing a full smile to my daughter's face due to her new teeth.

I feel a lot more relaxed at the dentists now

5 50 Root Canals

.Root canals, restoriation, etc.

Having had a couple of really bad experiences at the Dentist at a younger age, I was always quite hesitant to sit in the dentists chair. Having been at the Whitehouse Dental Surgery, I can safely say that I have overcome the fear and am able to think more about dental hygiene and actively be involved in taking care of my teeth (which weren't in great condition). The treatments I have had at WDS (all by Dr. Shukla) have all been really good and Dr. Shukla has ensured that he educated me about each treatment giving me the confidence not only in the work being done, but also to understand how I could help improve and maintain the condition of my teeth and gums. The surgery is always very welcoming and has very friendly staff and nurses. I feel a lot more relaxed at the dentists now and I have learnt a lot more than I ever did before about dental hygiene.

Highly recommended

4.9 50 Dental X-Ray, Dental Crowns • Paid: £50

Consultation, x-rays, use of camera to show individual problems, long term improvement advice, brushing techniques, self help advice

I was treated by Dr Shukla who has recently taken over the practice. I am a nervous patient who only plucked up the courage to go as Dr Shulka had just finished treating my husband by fitting a crown and my husband couldn't recommend him highly enough. Dr Shulka was very professional, showing me with use of a small camera and x-rays where my problems lay, he was kindness itself. Also, he was in no rush to start working on my teeth, he recommended some changes we could make over a number of year - that would improve problems that had occurred in the past. But he started with advice on how I could improve matters to help myself.

Could not recommend this practice highly enough - also he assures me he will be keeping the practice for many year. This is very comforting as I have two children and want to feel confident in their care as well as my own.

Dental Bridges (2 sessions)

A bridge is a fixed replacement for a missing tooth or teeth.

It's made by taking an impression of the surrounding teeth, which will eventually support the bridge.

A bridge is usually created from precious metal and porcelain and will be fixed in your mouth (unlike dentures, which can be removed).

from £895

Dental Crowns (2 sessions)

A crown is a type of cap that completely covers a real tooth.

It's made from either metal, or porcelain and metal, and is fixed in your mouth.

Crowns can be fitted where a tooth has broken, decayed or been damaged, or just to make a tooth look better.

To fit a crown, the old tooth will need to be drilled down so it's like a small peg the crown will be fixed onto.

It can take some time for the lab to prepare a new crown, so you probably won't have the crown fitted on the same day.

from £2100

Dental Implants

Implants are a fixed alternative to removable dentures.

They may be the only option if the loss of teeth has caused the mouth to shrink so that it can no longer support dentures.

You can use implants to replace just a single tooth or several teeth.

To fit an implant, titanium screws are drilled into the jaw bone to support a crown, bridge or denture.

Replacement parts take time to prepare. This is to ensure that they fit your mouth and other teeth properly.

Therefore, they may not be available on your first visit to the dentist.

Dentures (4 sessions)

More commonly known as false teeth, dentures are fitted in place of natural teeth.

A full set is used to replace all your teeth. A part set is used to replace one or more missing teeth.

Dentures are custom-made using impressions (mouldings) from your gums. They're usually made from metal or plastic.

They're removable so you can clean them, although part dentures can be brushed at the same time as your other teeth.

A full set needs to be removed and soaked in a cleaning solution.

Dentures are important if you lose your natural teeth, as losing your teeth makes it difficult to chew your food, which will adversely affect your diet and may cause your facial muscles to sag.

Endodontist Consultation (30 mins)

Root canal treatment (also called endodontics) tackles infection at the centre of a tooth (the root canal system).

When the blood or nerve supply of the tooth has become infected, if root canal treatment is not carried out, the infection will spread and the tooth may need to be taken out.

During treatment, all the infection is removed from inside the root canal system.

The root canal is filled and the tooth is sealed with a filling or crown to stop it from becoming infected again.

Teeth Whitening (3 sessions)

Teeth Whitening - The Whitehouse Dental SurgeryTeeth Whitening - The Whitehouse Dental Surgery

Teeth whitening involves bleaching your teeth to make them a lighter colour.

Teeth whitening can't make your teeth brilliant white, but it can lighten the existing colour by several shades.

With Philips Zoom NiteWhite, your whiter smile can be noticeably whiter fast, with maximum results in one to two weeks.

from £795

Porcelain Veneers (2 sessions)

Veneers are new facings for teeth which disguise a discoloured (rather than a damaged) tooth.

To fit a veneer, the front of the tooth is drilled away a little. An impression is taken, and a thin layer of porcelain is fitted over the front of the tooth (similar to how a false fingernail is applied).
