Given my particular needs, I first considered Dr. Cem Baysal following my own research relative to international maxillofacial specialists combined with implantology. It was very comforting to learn that Dr. Baysal was a professor and visiting lecturer in this field of expertise. My first initial meeting with Dr. Cem in Istanbul went very well as he did not rush any initial prognosis, nor did he try to steer me towards any particular cosmetic directions (without cost) we discussed what my options were, coupled with the pros & cons of each proposed treatment costs. Naturally, I was very nervous through these discussions as the reality of my own dental health & needs we’re becoming much clearer to me. Dr. Cem fully explains in non-technical English what the best treatment route would be & why, while equally managing my expectations as to what the final outcome would be. Our discussion was not solely based on cosmetic dentistry solutions they were more pertinently related to my personal dental health, self-confidence and overall well being. In summary, when I felt comfortable that all my questions had been discussed & answered I decided to proceed with a program of dental treatments which involved 2 extractions, 2 sinus lift, 3 bone grafts, 6 titanium implants and 28 zircon crowns. We agreed that as it suited me, there would be no rush, all primary implantology and corrective treatment was carried out over a period of approximately 1month. I then returned home for a period of 4 months prior to returning to Istanbul for final measuring &crown work fittings etc. During our first meetings, Dr. Cem told me that there would be no pain in his chair and I was a bit skeptical about that statement, however in reflection, considering the extent of my treatment and my past dental experience, comparatively speaking, there was very little pain or discomfort throughout the treatment. Both Dr. Cem and his assistant were very considerate to my nervous disposition and at every opportunity, they would provide the comfort and reassurance that I needed. Similarly, although Dr. Cem worked effectively, he did not schedule appointments or carry out treatment at a pace that would be discomforting to me. If I was at all worried or concerned Dr. Cem and his lovely assistant would afford me every consideration to help put my mind at ease. Overall, the planning and execution of my treatment program could not have been better, it was relaxed, considerate and very thorough. When I had had my initial fitting of crowns I could not believe the transformation, it was really amazing. Dr. Cem talked at length with me about my first impressions, how it felt particularly my bite, comfort etc, he then invited his technician to the studio to further note and record fine-tuning and alignment of my crowns to that which would be most comfortable for me both internally and visually externally. The fine-tuned and polished crowns were then fitted a few days later and I am absolutely thrilled with the outcome. It has changed me and my outlook on life in so many ways and given me so much self-confidence. Thank you very very very much Dr. Cem and staff, you have certainly achieved what you said you would achieve.
