He has been in full time private practice as a specialist Orthodontist for nearly 30 years. He runs two practices; one in Johannesburg and one in Stellenbosch. His special professional interest and distinguishing skill is placing braces behind the teeth (lingual orthodontics). He has developed and simplified a unique way of achieving this usually time consuming, complicated task through persistence and dedication. He upholds the highest ethical standards and routinely challenges the status quo regarding tooth movement, generally accepted orthodontic techniques and patient benefits. This comes from a deep personal conviction to do the right thing, at the right time, in the right way and for the right reasons. He successfully treated well over 1000 satisfied patients using this approach. He Zieg continues to build awareness around innovative techniques and ideas in the orthodontic field.
