About Dr. Simon Manara
Dr. Simon Manara qualified as a dentist in 1991 from Guy’s Hospital, University of London (now part of the GKT Institute). He subsequently held posts in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and obtained his Fellowship in Dental Surgery. He also gained further experience in General Dental Practice and Paediatric Dentistry before being accepted onto a three-year full-time postgraduate orthodontic training programme at Birmingham Dental School.
In 2001, Dr. Simon Manara became a Specialist in Orthodontics after receiving his Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Glasgow, as well as a Master of Philosophy in Orthodontics from the University of Birmingham.
In 2000, he was awarded a Fellowship from the Winston Churchill Trust, which enabled him to travel to the USA and Sweden to study pioneering research into stationary anchorage—a technique that helps reduce the need for extractions or headgear.
Dr. Simon Manara has practiced orthodontics exclusively since 1999 and is listed on the Orthodontic Specialist Register of the UK General Dental Council and the Malta Medical Counsil.

- Early interceptive treatment for children aged 7–10 years (when appropriate)
- Clear aligner therapy (Invisalign®) for adults and children

Each treatment plan at Malta Orthodontics is individually tailored using state-of-the-art diagnostic tools, such as 3D intraoral scanning and digital radiography. A commitment to ongoing education keeps Dr. Simon Manara at the forefront of his field. He regularly attends the American and British Orthodontic Conferences, carefully selecting new technologies and techniques that enhance patient comfort and understanding. An early adopter of innovation, he introduced Invisalign® to his practice in 2003 and 3D metal-printed appliances in 2016.
