Home bleaching can take several weeks and, due to regular irritation of sensitive teeth and gums, many patients find it uncomfortable and inconvenient. In addition, home bleaching may not provide the best results. For these reasons we decided to use the gentle but highly effective BriteSmile® system at Gelencser Dental. In just 60 minutes (90 minutes including preparation time) BriteSmile® offers excellent and lasting results. The BriteSmile® whitening technology. Best results can be achieved if teeth are professionally cleaned prior to treatment. A protective layer is then applied to the gums so that only teeth remain exposed to the bleaching. A light activated whitening gel is placed on the front side of the teeth. We then illuminate the patient’s teeth for 20 minutes using the BriteSmile® plasma lamp, which activates and safely accelerates the whitening process. Whilst using the lamp, patients are provided with protective eyewear. The lamp is safe, gentle and it emits virtually no heat while operated. This 20-minute process is then repeated twice with fresh gel applied each time, making the overall treatment time 60 minutes (90 minutes including preparation time and after-care). Following the last application, the protective layer is removed from the gums and the remaining gel is washed off.

Where normally the own root gives the tooth stability, the new "root" is inserted directly into the jaw bone, i.e. implanted. In the same way as natural roots retain the teeth, implants can support either individual crowns or bridges over the complete jaw, or a bridge which is connected to the remaining natural teeth. This way, you will have fixed permanent teeth again. The second choice is a convincing alternative: dental implants replace the tooth root and serve as stable support of the crowns or bridges. This means: Dental implants offer a permanent fixed tooth replacement. Not only the appearance, but also the safe feeling of natural teeth is restored.

Tooth whitening Tooth whitening is a form of an aesthetic treatment in which a lighter shade is obtained than the shade of the patient's teeth. There are two groups: home and in-surgery whitening. Since October 2012, the legal limit of the strength of peroxide for tooth whitening is 6% in the European Union. This concentration is not sufficient for rapid teeth whitening in the surgery. It is used for home whitening for weeks to achieve the desired result. New Regulations for Tooth Whitening came into force on 31st Oct 2012 A new European Council Directive which regulates the use of hydrogen peroxide - the chemical used in tooth whitening products – comes into force from today (Wednesday 31st Oct). Tooth whitening products containing more than 6% of hydrogen peroxide are now illegal and their sale is prohibited, while tooth whitening is restricted to those over 18 years of age.

During the first consultation, after clinical and x-ray examinations we provide a personalized treatment plan and quotation free of charge. Consultation is free, but minor charge applies for the X-ray examinations. Upon request, a copy of the CT and OP X-ray can be available on CD. We are also able to provide treatment plan and quotation based on recent clinical data (X-ray and clinical examination) carried out by another clinical if our potential patient is in a position to forward it to us. While we are able to give our quotation to the patient for their existing treatment, we reserve the right to modify the treatment plan based on our clinical examination. We return all received clinical data and information when we provide the quote.  When asked, we will schedule dates and complete the recommended treatment.

Implantation The best way to replace lost teeth is implantation. There is no other form of restoration of lost teeth which will reconstruct the sensation of natural teeth. The material of the implants is biocompatible, replaces the root of the tooth and is firmly fixed in the jaw. For the  implants The osteointegration of the implants (fixation of bone on the implant surface) secures the stability against chewing pressure. If a tooth is lost, replacement is recommended, as soon as possible. If we wait with the restoration, bone loss is inevitable and delay of the implant placement will result in loss of the bone mass. The best way to restore the lost tooth is the immediate implantation (in the same session, straight after extraction or within at 4 months after the extraction of the tooth. The surface of the implants contains specially designed microscopical pores that can be occupied by the growing bone cells.  Crowns and bridges can be fitted on the implants, which is called the loading of the implants. The fixation of implant-prosthetic rehabilitation can be carried out by screws (screw retained crown), or with adhesive material (cement- retained crown). Even the removable prosthesis is more stable if it is supported by the fixed implants (implant retained dentures). In the case of edentulism, implant-prosthetic rehabilitation provides an aesthetically pleasing and functionally efficient rehabilitation of the mouth, transforming the patient's smile and appearance improving their quality of life.
