Dr. Melanie Campese received her Dental Medicine Doctorate Degree from the University of Montreal in 2006 with high honors. In 2009-2010, she completed a three-year full time post-doctoral periodontology specialty program at Boston University School of Dental Medicine in the United States. This program included a one-year research project leading to a master thesis in oral biology and periodontology followed by a two-year intensive course in periodontics and implant dentistry.
During her four-year stay as a specialist in the United States, she gained additional experience by providing high quality periodontal care in various clinical settings such as community centers, hospitals, schools, and private practices. Upon her return to Montreal in 2010, Dr. Campese has participated in several academic activities, such as her collaboration in research projects affiliated with the University of Montreal as well as maintaining a part time clinical teaching position at the undergraduate dental student level at McGill University and at the University of Montreal. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in her specialty, a Member of the Federation of Dental Specialists of Quebec, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
