While running a successful part-time private practice in North Fitzroy he also worked for the Royal Melbourne Dental Hospital Domiciliary Service and was on the casual staff of the Melbourne University Dental School.
In 1990 he moved to Daylesford and worked in Community Health in both Ballarat and Daylesford for 5 years. In December 1994 Marcel moved to Tweed Heads to be closer to Margaret's family.
He took over the Wharf Street practice from Dr. Alice Hill and moved it to it's present location in 1999. Marcel is once again involved with teaching students as a casual staff member of Griffith University of Dentistry and Oral Health.
Originally Leahs career path took her in the direction of her artistic and creative talents through interior design; however it wasn’t until a motivating discussion with her local dentist, that resulted in her deciding that dentistry was her future.
Since 2009, Leah has been working in this field and loving every moment.
In 2002, Kate began a few years of travelling seeing her living in South East Asia, learning to speak some Mandarin Chinese and taking part in volunteer work in remote villages in the Southern Himalayas.
She also spent some time in the USA where she completed a Masters Degree. Kate is also a graduate of the prestigious Las Vegas Institute. After returning to Australia and practicing in various other locations around Queensland, Kate is very pleased to return to Boyd Street Dental.
