Mr Muhammad Riaz has worked as a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon since 2001 and currently works in the UK at The Department of Plastic Surgery, Castle Hill Hospital , Cottingham in East Yorkshire . He has recently received an honorary appointment to the Academic Staff of the Hull York Medical School (HYMS). His role is one of Senior Clinical Tutor and involves teaching, research and curriculum development.
Mr Riaz undertook his initial training in Multan, Pakistan before going on to undertake specialist plastic surgery training in a number of locations including the UK, Ireland and America. He held junior positions in plastic and reconstructive surgery in the West Midlands, Northern Ireland and Yorkshire . His senior plastic surgery training was undertaken in Northern Ireland , the Republic of Ireland , Pakistan , the USA and the UK .
Mr Riaz is registered with the General Medical Council. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, a member of the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) and the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH).
Mr Riaz has regularly presented at national and international meetings and has in excess of 30 publications and presentations in the field of Plastic Surgery.
Mr Riaz offers cosmetic surgery for individuals who feel they would like to change their appearance. Patients are always seen by Mr Riaz for initial consultation, when a plan of treatment & care is mutually agreed. Surgery is performed exclusively by Mr Riaz. He provides the full range of cosmetic surgery, reconstructive procedures, and hand and skin surgery.
Mr Riaz is supported by a dedicated team of professionals. The anaesthetists who work with Mr Riaz all hold substantive consultant positions in the NHS and are members of the Royal College of Anaesthetists. They have a particular interest in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, and considerable experience in caring for patients undergoing such procedures.
