One clinic is taking care of all my requests

The Medifema clinic is the only clinic that responded. I went on 20 August to look at the possibilities and on 22 August they did the breast implant, a facial correction and on the 29th the are looking at my varicose veins. So, one clinic is taking care of all my requests.

Gastric by-pass surgery is a method that not only limits the intake of food but also reduces the absorption of food. It is still the most common type of combined surgeries.

In this operation, the upper part of the stomach is reduced to about 30-50 cc. In the second stage, a portion of the small intestine is brought into this small gastric pouch and then joined together. With this method, almost 80% of the stomach is disabled, and patients get a feeling of satiety quickly with much smaller portions. At the same time, some part of the absorption of nutrients is prevented.

After this surgery, the food we eat passes directly to the ileum which is the 2nd part of our small intestine, so various hormones are secreted much more and these hormones cause more insuliin hormone to be released from our pancreas gland. Therefore, gastric by-pass surgery is more preferred in patients with obesity and Type 2 Diabetes.

Gastric by-pass surgery is performed with closed method. The operation lasts for about two hours and the patient can stand up at the 4th hour after the surgery to meet his own needs. After this operation, the patient is kept under observation in the hospital for about 3 days and drug treatment is organized on the 3rd day and the patient leaves hospital to continue his daily life with the support of a dietician.

Gastric sleeve surgery is a very effective method in the fight against obesity. This process works by reducing the stomach volume and removing the hormone ghrelin, which causes an increase in appetite. As the stomach volume gets smaller, the person is sated with smaller portions and as the person’s appetite decreases, the person becomes a healthier individual by losing weight in a short time without suffering.

Gastric sleeve surgery is performed with a closed method, that is without making large incisions in the abdominal region. The closed method allows the person to stand up and walk shortly after the surgery and perform daily activities by oneself. The operation takes about an hour. The leak test is performed on the second postoperative day. If no problems are detected in this test, the patient will be discharged on the same day with a diet list prepared by the dietitian.
