Surgeon Biography:
After studying medicine at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) I specialized in plastic surgery at the Academic Medical Centre. In that period I gained his PhD at the University of Amsterdam on the topic "Tissue Expansion", a technique that is often used in breast reconstructions. However, my interest is mainly on corrective and shape-enhancing surgery, such as the forehead, eyelids, nose, ears, breasts and abdomen. Since 1995 I run a general practice in the Reinier de Graaf Hospital in Delft and Voorburg. Aesthetic surgery I offer within the hospital. Diaconessenhuis Voorburg acts as a sort of private clinic. In addition to the hospital I am connected to the Park Clinic, Rotterdam. 1 day per week I would characterize myself as sensitive. I love a pleasant atmosphere of peace: a full waiting room I find a crime. Rest I create with proper planning of my office hours and with the decor and lighting of my surgeries. On a small scale I collect pictures, paintings and photography, which I exhibit in practice areas. During holidays, I stay with my family in our home in southern France where I am involved in the organic production of olives and olive oil production.
