Drains/ Aftercare

Got a tummy tuck in the Avoca clinic 6 days ago.
Has anyone who has surgery and has to keep a drain in had a problem with the suction on the drain and having to go back to get it changed?

Twice in one day on day 2 of recovery, I had to go over and get the drain changed. 1hour and a half over and back, only home and suction went.

2nd time in that day,y they gave me a spare drain bottle to change if this happens again.
Yes, it happened again, and I had to change.

Day 5 suction looked a little up to what it was when I changed it over, but there was no more fluid going into the bottle.

I called and was told it is ok, might be just iv no fluid.

Day 6, the suction went up more again.

Today is day 6, and I’m over tomorrow to get the drain out.

Just feel it is not good aftercare if the drain keeps losing suction and not giving a few spares.

All the staff are lovely, just the aftercare with the drain needs to be improved.

I just wanted to give a little background information on my story, In 2021 I had a breast augmentation and nipple lift performed in a well-known Irish private hospital, unfortunately, I assumed that the surgeon was a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon this turned out not to be the case, and I was left with a very bad result.

Fast forward to 2023 I did my research to find a clinic to redo a full breast lift and I am delighted to be able to highly recommend the Avoca Clinic and the fantastic Dr Mitic, he truly is the best surgeon and an absolute gentleman he did an amazing job and I couldn’t be happier with the results

Surgeon amazing. Mr Cormac Joyce. I was 15 yrs waiting for repair of a poor procedure and where others tried, he managed to do an amazing repair procedure. I would follow him anywhere for any procedure. Google him before you book. I had facelift and breast repair. This surgeon is the only reason I went to Avoca. I had heard amazing things about him. I could take or leave the staff.

Cormac and my nurses were amazing. So happy with my results and aftercare but the admin staff leave so much to be desired. I feel from the moment I paid in full reception and Admin staff were less than helpful in my opinion.

Avoca was recommended to me by past patients who were delighted with the work. Based on their good opinions, I had my breast implant surgery here. The online price starts from 5300, but I paid 5500. The price depends on the individual’s needs and the complexity of the procedure. I think it was good value for money, and I’m absolutely delighted with the results.

I thought the staff were very good. It’s only been a week since the surgery, so I haven’t been back yet. I’ll have my first follow-up next week, and the second one the week after that. They’ve been in touch with me regarding these check-ups. I’d say the service was first-class. The nurses were really competent. Overall, I’m very satisfied with everything. I have no regrets.

I went for a consultation for breast augmentation and they were amazing, to say the least. So welcoming and completely put me at ease. I didn't feel any pressure to make any decisions. The surgeon was very thorough in his information regarding the procedure and made me fully aware of complications that could occur during and after the procedure. I discussed my worries and wants for natural looking breasts. The girls where amazing and there are no words for there breast room I could stay in there all day! They also had 3d imaging software that showed what my breasts will potentially look like post procedure which was brilliant as this is always something that is so hard to visualize when you have never before seen yourself with breasts. I was nervous before but now I am just elated to be finally going ahead with the procedure I have so wanted for many years and more importantly because I know I am in good hands.

Had my consultation today for abdominoplasty. What a lovely relaxed clinic it was. Answered all my questions and I felt very at ease with the doctor and the girls in Reception were very nice.. Just waiting on dates now from the clinic and I will be booking my procedure.

I had breast implants. I decided to have them done as i have two children and lost all of the volume in my breasts after I had them. Ive never been happier and looking forward to showing them off in summer! I paid 4580 and had round Mentor breast implants, I did some research and was very happy with the price. I had a breast augmentation 9 weeks ago in the Avoca and I couldnt be happier!! I chose them as they had a room full of different size breast implants and I loved it. They also did a scan of my breasts and show me what i would look like with implants, that was what sold it to me. I had my surgery and was home that evening. My surgeon was Dr Nadeem and I thought he was great, im so delighted with myself!

From start to finish I really liked the clinic. I had a Breast Uplift with Implants with Dr Jean Philippe Salmin and would recommend them to a friend.

I was so thrilled with my Tummy Tuck with Dr Dalia Tobbia in Avoca clinic. I went for loads of consultations but I chose her and Avoca clinic as she was so patient, answered all my questions and I really liked having a woman surgeon who understood all my worries.The clinic staff were so lovely and all the nurses are fab. I would highly recommend them it was one of the best things I've ever done for myself!

I am 100% happy with my results. The treatment and aftercare was great, the staff were brilliant and most helpful. I would recommend this clinic.
