Dr. Bergeron received his medical degree at McGill University, where he was awarded the Robert Forsyth Prize, the highest distinction in surgery for a graduate. He continued his studies at Université de Montréal where he specialized in plastic, aesthetic, and reconstructive surgery.
He also obtained a master’s degree in biomedical science focused on innovative reconstruction techniques at the Université de Montréal andDalhousie University. He later obtained an over-specialization diploma in cranio-maxillo-facial surgery at the renowned Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan, one of the finest facial surgical centres in the world.
Dr. Bergeron has written several scientific articles on plastic and aesthetic surgery. Among other achievements, he was also an invited co-editor of a complete volume of the Seminars in Plastic Surgery review entitled Aesthetic Surgery in Asians. The volume is a collection of articles penned by internationally-renowned surgeons on the latest aesthetic surgical techniques practised in Asia. Dr. Bergeron has also spoken at various national and international conferences and has won numerous awards.
In addition to working at his clinic, Dr. Bergeron also works at theMontreal Sacré-Coeur Hospital (University hospital centre affiliated with the Université de Montréal). He is a professor at the Université de Montréal and since the beginning of his career as a surgeon, he has taught plastic surgery techniques to over forty plastic surgeons in training, student-surgeons of other specialities and medical students.
Dr. Bergeron is a plastic and aesthetic surgeon certified by theCollège des Médecins du Québec and by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He is a member of the(Association of Specialists in Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery of Quebec), the (Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons) and an active member of the (American Society of Plastic Surgeons).
