Dr. Craig Layt graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School in 1988. He undertook his general surgery training at the Princess Alexandra, Mater, and Greenslopes Hospitals in Brisbane and the General Hospital in Townsville.
Dr. Layt trained in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Royal Brisbane Hospital, the Princess Alexandra and Mater Hospitals. Moving to Melbourne, Dr. Layt then furthered his medical expertise while working along side a number of leading Fellow Plastic Surgeons in Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Royal Children’s Hospital, Austin and Repatriation Medical Centre, and St. Vincent’s Hospital. Now, he utilises his training as a private practice plastic surgeon, bringing his skill to Gold Coast residents in Queensland. Dr. Layt has been in private practice since 2001.
Dr. Layt is highly credentialed in all areas of Plastic, Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery. He is dedicated to a high standard of patient care and the achievement of excellent results. He insists that each patient fully understand the benefits, risks, and limitations of the procedure they have selected before undergoing surgery, in order to maximise patient satisfaction.
Dr. Layt was President of the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons from 2010 until July 2012. His role during his 2 years as President required him to actively take part in and organize post graduate education for Plastic Surgeons in the specialised field of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Dr. Layt is also involved in the education of Medical Students and doctors training in the specialty of plastic surgery.

Ros is a valued expert, qualified theatre nurse assisting Dr Layt at Pindara & Pacific Hospitals in our full surgical suite of services. An experienced anti-ageing injector, laser and IPL technician with 8 years in our Gold Coast practice. Ros is also trained in lymphatic drainage for post operative patients. Ros regularly attends conferences to lead changing trends in the cosmetic field.
Alyssa first started in the beauty industry when she was just 14 years old as a cosmetic assistant and went on to completing her diploma of beauty therapy in 2008. Alyssa has been a very valuable addition to our Gold Coast team since starting in March 2010. With many talents Alyssa works on current advertising and specials and post operative care for Dr Layt’s surgical patients. Alyssa prides herself in client satisfaction by offering each client treatments that will meet their expectations. Once you meet Alyssa you will feel your skin is in good hands as she is very passionate about beauty therapy and educating each client about their skin. Alyssa is also trained in Cutera for hair removal and photo rejuvenation.
Lucie is a highly experienced anaesthetic nurse specialist who has a passion for anti-ageing treatments. Lucie is a wonderfully compassionate member of the team and is highly experienced in the Cutera laser and IPL technologies as well as anti-ageing injections.
Jodi Gibbs has over 20 years of experience in the health and beauty industry and works at the Ballina Clinic. As a paramedical aesthetician Jodi stays up to date with ever improving technology which allows her to offer a number of non surgical options for facial rejuvenation.
