Board certified dermatologist recognized by the American Board of Dermatology and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. He is a volunteer Clinical Professor in Medicine/Dermatology at the University of California, San Diego and the founder and Medical Director of Cosmetic Laser Dermatology.

Received her specialty in Dermatology at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 1989, and is today recognized as one of the most renowned skin care experts in the country. As a board certified dermatologist and Diplomate of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, she is considered a leading authority in injectables, filler technology, lasers, and liposculpture. Dr. Butterwick has been referred to as the nation’s premier “expert injector,” serving on the advisory boards for Allergan’s, Medicis—the makers of Merz—the makers of facial fillers Belotero. In addition, she is a consultant and national trainer for face volumizing. She further serves on the National Education Faculty for and is the principle investigator for a new filler, Voluma. In 2004, Dr. Butterwick was selected by the American Academy of Dermatology to perform the first-ever live demonstration on facial fillers at their meeting and she has been invited every year to demonstrate her acclaimed techniques to thousands of the top dermatologists in the world. Dr. Butterwick has also directed numerous teaching workshops in filler and laser techniques.

Graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in biology and vertebrate physiology. During medical school at PCOM in Philadelphia, he received the highly coveted U.S. Naval Health Professions Scholarship Award. After graduating at the top of his class, Dr. Groff moved to San Diego to begin his postgraduate work and went on to complete a surgical internship at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego.
