Fantastic service from a complete professional. Jooli makes you feel utterly at ease and explains every step along the way. Simply put, I know that if Jooli couldn't help me, she would say so. Totally trustworthy clinic unlike some others I can't name. Very flexible and she will accommodate you wherever she can. I needed evening appointments due to work commitments, this wasn't a problem. Thanks Jooli and see you soon for my next 'zapping' ;-)

Facial Thread Veins Treatment

Red veins or thread veins as they are also known, are tiny blood vessels that connect arteries and veins. Your body contains thousands of capillaries, so its not surprising that, over time, a number of them will break. For the most part, broken capillaries are virtually invisible. However, when a person has many broken capillaries in one area, they can begin to appear as red streaks or blotches. The most irritating are small red ones that appear on the face, especially on the nose and cheek areas. Other common bothersome locations are the neck and chest areas above the neckline.

Broken capillaries are generally caused by aging, trauma, sun exposure, and certain lifestyle factors. While usually not physically harmful, they can detract from a persons appearance.

Removal often takes place with just one treatment, although no guarantee can be made as everyone is different. Red vein or thread vein removal is highly effective with an exceptionally high success rate.

Tattoo Removal

Between 5 and 10% of the U.K. population have one or more tattoos either self-inflicted (amateur) or professional tattoos. Often the result of peer pressure, some people with tattoos later come to regret them. It is common knowledge that visible tattoos have a negative impact on potential employers. A good reason for not removing an unwanted tattoo was that a scar would replace the tattoo. This is no longer the case as can be clearly seen on the ,

Laser tattoo removal is safe and effective and the results are well documented. Without the adverse side effects associated with alternative methods of removal such as dermabrasion or surgical excision, lasers are now the method of choice for both doctors and patients alike.

A tattoo is made up of large particles of pigment injected into the skin, which the body considers to be invasive. It rejects foreign objects and attempts to remove them, but the particles of ink that make up a tattoo are too large. The body therefore responds by encapsulating the particles in a wall of collagen that effectively traps it within the skin permanently. Based on the theory of photothermolysis, successful removal of a tattoo depends on the absorption of light by the particles of tattoo pigment in the skin. The laser light penetrates the particles without cutting or burning the skin. This heats the particles rapidly which causes an explosive fragmentation of the collagen capsule and the pigment itself. The fragmented particles of pigment can then be removed by the bodys own defence system. After a period of 6 weeks, the process can be repeated to remove deeper layers of pigment until the tattoo fades away. This can take anywhere between 5 and 20 treatments, depending on the colour and depth of the tattoo.

Laser Hair Removal
About hair removal The desire to remove excess or unwanted hair, whether through medical necessity or cosmetic preference, is not new, but with the development of advanced laser and pulsed light systems, the potential for long-term removal is.
Because of technological improvements, intense pulsed light (IPL) hair removal has superseded the use of a laser and involves the use of light to destroy hairs in such a way as to inhibit their re-growth for as long as possible. The cycle of hair growth has three distinct phases: growing, transition and resting. IPL hair removal will only successfully treat hairs that are in the growing phase and it is for this reason that multiple treatments are required. The percentage of hairs in each stage of the cycle, as well as the duration of each phase, will vary for different body sites and for different people. Based on the theory of selective photothermolysis, success depends on the absorption of light by the melanin contained in the hair in preference to the melanin in the skin. The light emitted uses the melanin in the hair to travel down into the hair follicle which is heated rapidly leading to its destruction. Because the light is absorbed by melanin, IPL works best on people with skin which is lighter than the problematic hair. It is not recommended on sun-tanned skins, or for people with blonde or grey hair.

Do not confuse this IPL method of hair removal with electrolysis. Hairs are not removed individually as with electrolysis. Hair removal by IPL results in less and less hair growth as time goes on, whereas electrolysis tends to become a way of life as hair regrows to the same level as it was originally. Many of our clients tried electrolysis before discovering the superior IPL hair removal process.
