Dermal Fillers, Cheek Augmentation, Treatment for Wrinkles, Facial Rejuvenation
In 2013, the signs of aging began to take their toll on my otherwise-adorable face. I was only 29, but I found myself referred to as "Ma'am". Late nights, early mornings, and situational stress began to show, and I looked tired. People treated me as if I were 35-40...which made me pretty miserable, as I felt my remaining chronological youth had been stolen!
Over the next year, I began using skincare products for the first time in my life. The results were noticeable, but I still looked older than I'd prefer. I consulted with a few plastic surgeons about the possibility of a facelift, but was told I was too young, and not a good candidate.
That's when I found out about facial fillers. I looked for clinics offering such treatments nearby, and found Defyne. After a consultation with Pinar, it was decided 3 syringes of uma jeunesse (an HA-filler, similar to Restalane, from France) would be used to augment my cheeks, lessen my nasolabial folds, and generally even out my face. About half a syringe was left over -- this was used to augment a few classic "beauty spots" like my lower lip's vermillion border, and to fill in my mental crease. I also had 7 strategically-placed Treatment for wrinkles shots to stop worry lines forming, raise my eyebrows, and help my mentalis (muscle connecting lower jaw to chin) relax enough for the uma jeunesse to settle into the mental crease more easily. This was performed over two visits made in one month.
The treatment was not cheap, but certainly far less than you'd pay for plastic surgery, and with results which, while temporary, are just as impressive. I paid 600 pounds ($1100) for the three syringes of uma jeunesse, and 100 pounds ($170) for the Treatment for wrinkles For an additional 35 pounds ($55), I walked away with a tube of Neostrata bionic eye cream, which really brightened my eye area and removed all trace of dark circles.
The results were impressive: When I came in, while I looked better than before starting my skincare regime, I still looked like a not-so-wonderfully-aged woman in her early 30s. When I left, though, I looked about 5-10 years younger. People generally assumed I was a uni student, and were frequently amazed when I revealed my real age. Even how-old.net consistently found me to look younger. When I returned to the US after my 2-month absence, friends and family thought I looked very well, rested and refreshed. I told them it was due to spending time with my fiance -- and, due to how natural everything looked, they didn't believe any different.
In July, when I next found myself in England, I indulged two additional syringes of uma jeunesse to further even my face. This top-up was 450 pounds ($750 or so), and was well-done.
All in all, I was definitely satisfied with the work done. I would recommend this treatment, at Defyne Aesthetics, to anyone looking for an affordable self-esteem boost. The clinic is super-nice, clean, and comfortable. There's a nespresso machine/coffee bar in the lobby which is always available and well-stocked.
Both Pinar (injectables specialist) and Kate (Surface treatment/facials specialist) are kind, compassionate, and upbeat. They really make you feel at ease, and are always willing to discuss your concerns and do what they can to help.
Pinar is a practicing dentist, and Kate is a licensed aesthetician -- so both ladies know what they are doing. Pinar has a great sense of symmetry/balance -- which helps her make the most of every syringe of filler she uses!
If you are in northern England, and feel your skin needs a boost, I would definitely recommend Defyne Aesthetics Skin Clinic! :)
