 At our clinic all treatments are administered or directly supervised by our doctor. The team was super lovely on my visit! Was happy to sit there and chat with me while I was extremely early for my appointment. Lorraine was super nice and gentle and did not make me feel stupid at all for what I wanted done, is very empathetic.

Love that the appointment isn’t aged and Lorraine really just wants to help where she can but remains realistic. Will not go anywhere else for future appointments!

A confusing choice of options

2 50 Mole Removal

I felt it was a very quick examination where I had to keep pointing out other moles and after a confusing choice of options that all boiled down to $495!!!!! To remove 2 moles one at my request that wasnt suspicious but gets irritated by my clothes rubbing and the other that she thought it was suspicious so we can ice it and if it comes back in 3 weeks then we better do a biopsy. I though she did give me the option of doing the biopsy that day but I felt that it was her professional call that was needed not a choice on my part. No thank you, after paying $75 for the consult I shall be going back to my GP to get another opinion and peace of mind.

I chose it because they were the only ones to have an appointment asap...and I was concerned about a few moles and wanted to get checked out urgently. Most other clinics seemed to be a month or so wait.

Hi Cheryl, We are sorry you felt confused at your consultation. At Vital Face and Vein our philosophy is to work in partnership with our patients. We believe the ultimate decision around treatment should be made on the basis of a fully informed choice. If lesions are suspicious our only recommendation would be to biopsy. However, Skin lesions vary from harmless to serious cancers. Some harmless lesions can be very simply, safely and economically treated with creams or liquid nitrogen (always with the proviso should the lesion not go, review will be required in three to four weeks). These less invasive treatments have less risk of scarring. We accept that some patients may prefer the doctor to stipulate a single treatment in all situations, thank you for your feedback.
