Dr. Rubenstein was absolutely fantastic. I had 3 different procedures on my eyes. All with good outcomes. 2 standard cataract surgeries and one to put acrylic rings in my eye to correct astigmatism. He really wants to help his patients to do better. Honest and sincere are two words to describe him. He also explained everything extremely well. His communication skills were fantastic. The treatment I had was upper/lower eyelid lift, mid/lower/neck facelift with fat transfer to marionette lines and checks. Dr. Araya was very accommodating to my crazy travel schedule, he was very patient and understanding with my unorganized and crazy financing, he was thoughtful and explained the procedures and he made sure I was comfortable before and after the procedure. I chose this clinic because it had good communication and response times. The price was an excellent value. The outcome of the procedure better than expected. I was scared and nervous about being in Costa Rica to have this procedure but the clinic and nursing staff was kind and organized, everything went smooth and without problems. The recovery nurse was at my bedside every morning, anticipating my needs, encouraging, and compassionate. The driver was patient and sympathetic. The accommodations are comfortable. It was nerve-wracking as I travelled alone, but it was worth it.
