He studied medicine in the Universidad Autónoma de Centroamérica (U.A.C.A, San José, Costa Rica) from 1992 to 1997. He obtained both his Bachelor’s degree in Medical Science and his ‘Licenciatura’ in Medicine with the level of ‘Cum Laude Probatus’. He then continued with his training, participating in all kinds of courses and conferences, such as the National Medical Congress LXII in the year 2000 and he continued his postgraduate studies and undertook his internship from 1998 to 2002 in the Rafael Ángel Calderón Guardia Hospital, in Peripheral Vascular Surgery, obtaining the best average score in the department of his specialization during all this time.
