About Dundas Dermatology and Otolaryngology

Languages: English Biography: Dr. Karen Edstrom is a cosmetic dermatologist who has been practicing in the Hamilton, Ancaster and Dundas areas for over 10 years.
She is a faculty member of McMaster University and is involved in teaching medical students and residents. She is also involved in various medical organizations and was a previous secretary of the Canadian Dermatology Association.
Dr. Edstrom did her undergraduate and medical training at Memorial University where she received her Biology Degree and MD. She then pursued her Dermatology residency at the University of Ottawa and Dalhousie University. She completed her training and passed her fellowship exam in 1997.
She then practiced in Newfoundland for 3 years before moving to Dundas. She has lived in Dundas for over 10 years with her husband, Dr. Ron Lemckert and her daughter.

Languages: English Biography: Dr. Ron Lemckert is an Otolarynlogist, head and neck surgeon. He is an associate professor of surgery at McMaster University Medical Centre and has held many academic appoinments including previous Chief of Otolaryngology at McMaster University Medical Centre.
He did his undergraduate degree in Biology at Dalhousie University and then completed his medical degree at Memorial University. He did his Otolaryngology specialty training at Dalhousie and completed it in 1997. He is very involved in academic teaching of medical students and residents.
