"It is one of the few places that I have found that go above and beyond what is expected of them"

Treatment Received: Circumcision
I decided to have a circumcision for personal reasons. I was torn which clinic to pick but i'm very glad I chose here. They were very informative and answered any questions I had about the procedure.

I very rarely write reviews but I really wanted to say how amazing I found this clinic. It is one of the few places that I have found that go above and beyond what is expected of them. The procedure and healing went very well, no pain just a little discomfort for a couple of hours after the operation. I couldn't recommend Thornhill Clinic enough. Dr. Khan is a great doctor there.

"The surgeon was extremely good"
3 50Reviewed 23 Sep 2017 Review verified by phone and email.
Treatment Received: Circumcision
My visit to the Thornhill Clinic was for medical reasons - very tight foreskin.

While waiting in the waiting room I expected to be in a lot of pain, so asked the receptionist if they had any painkillers she handed me a 750mg ibuprofen taken before the op.

I was extremely nervous. The consultant took me into a room to explain everything to me, he went into every detail including saying the pain will feel like a toothache between your legs and asked if I wanted to use glue and dissolvable stitches or just more dissolvable stitches. I went with the more expensive glue option thinking it was better as I read their website beforehand.

He did ask me many times if I was 100% ready I didn't feel pushed into it. I traveled a long way so wasn't going home not done.

In that room, Dr. Khan (there were two apologies can't recall what one) asked me to wear a surgical undergarment and gave me 5 numbing injections into the base of my penis. I did feel each one but he was extremely good and it wasn't painful same as a skilled nurse taking blood for testing.

Dr. Khan then took me into another room that at first glance looked like a kitchen as the clinic is in a covered house but was very clean and a professional outfit once in there.

The procedure took around 1 hour including the time for numbing to work. I wasn't convinced the numbing worked but the nurse who assisted Dr. Khan pinched my foreskin with an instrument and showed me I couldn't feel a thing just pulling but was painless.

I put headphones on closed my eyes and just put my self in my own little world during the whole procedure.

During the operation, you will smell burning from time to time, this is them sealing blood vessels and is painless just smells. Once done they gave me a bandage but left enough space to pee. Then I left with some paperwork and an envelope for a doctor's prescription.

I had pre-booked a night in a hotel local to the clinic on the clinic's website. It says you will get a discount if you say you're a Thornhill Clinic patient but you won't. It was more expensive using the "discount" with plans to train home the next day, under the local anesthetic. I walked to the hotel passing a petrol station on the way to pick up more painkillers.

All was great........

Then the local anesthetic wore off and I was in absolute agony and my bandage partially fell off leaving it hanging. I called the emergency number for the clinic and was told to come in at this point but I could no longer have anything touch the end of my penis the gland. It was an excruciating pain with the slightest of touches so could not get dressed nothing could touch my gland, I could hardly walk back there exposed and no further support from the clinic.

I was laying on my back trying to sleep covering my legs and chest up to keep warm leaving penis exposed and tried to sleep didn't work.

I ended up calling 111 all night trying to get help constantly getting fobbed off all night. I was trying until 6 am, during that time I called 999, once the call handler asked me I was bleeding uncontrollably I wasn't so said no she said sorry I have to answer calls from emergencies and hung up.
I was then running out of ideas. I asked the hotel reception to call for me they did and was told that I had to call by the call handler. I was left feeling helpless with no one to help me being over 100 miles from home.

Soon as my GP practice opened I called my GP for advice. He made me a painkiller prescription and sent them to the closest pharmacy to me that happened to be very close.

Housekeeping turned up and I couldn't let her in as I was exposed. Later that day around 3 pm (the checkout was 11 am but the hotel didn't bill me for another day). The hotel manager called for help only this time a doctor finally came to help me and gave me painkillers, only then he was unable to help me anymore himself.

So he called an ambulance. They arrived very quickly. I said I had a prescription from the clinic and my GP and pleaded with them to collect it at the local pharmacy which was 400 meters away. The paramedic got my envelope from the clinic that turned out to be empty. They went to the clinic to collect it.

They helped me get dressed and made me a cup out of cardboard and that I could put into my underwear so my gland wouldn't come into contact with anything and drove me to the train station.

With difficulty I got home and for the next 3 weeks I was off work and had to wear the cup all day if you wear a cup it's important to empty your bladder before sleeping and don't wear the cup to sleep as if you get an erection while sleeping you will push your gland into the inside of the cup and it's extremely eye-watering painful also lay on your side to prevent contact with the bed sheets.

I'm on week 5 now. I have been back at work 2 weeks. Make sure to wear tight boxers as when moving and you your penis is loose it will move and your gland will brush against the cloth. It is still uncomfortable and very mildly painful still walking very slowly and carefully.

The saga continues. I will edit once fully healed.

The Treatment I received I would rate 5 stars. The aftercare and important information mainly about pain 0 stars so 3 overall.

"The professionalism displayed at the clinic was superb"
5 50Reviewed 02 Aug 2017 Review verified by email.
Treatment Received: Circumcision
I took my newborn son for his circumcision on his three weeks birthday. We had discussed the procedure with my wife and we had settled on Circumplast as the best for our son. On a material day, we arrived at the appointment time and proceeded to fill up some paperwork as we waited for our turn. Our son was given the procedure which in total took about 30 mins. In the evening he was a bit uneasy but nothing we couldn't handle.

We gave him the aftercare as advised at the Clinic and surely in 4 days the ring had fallen off! The care continued as instructed and in 7 days he was fully healed and not even showing any signs of sensitivity around the site. It left very neat finish and now he's back to his normal self. I am glad we took him to the center.

The professionalism displayed at the clinic was superb and leaves a lot to be admired. I found the clinic to be very clean and the fact that it is regulated by the CQC gave us the confidence to carry on with the procedure. I would definitely recommend Thornhill Circumcision center to anyone seeking professional circumcision services.

"Perfect! Thank you very much!"

Treatment Received: Mole Removal
Large granular mole removal

Staff are really good here. I had to have a minor surgery performed to remove the mol and was a great success. Scar is completely unnoticeable. Quick, efficient, helpful and gets the job done. Perfect. Thank you very much. I now have the confidence I didn't before the surgery. Not to forget the staff member who held my hand during the procedure! I'm a complete whimp! :) I've posted a picture but didn't take a before. My mole was not far off 1cm in diameter. This picture show you cannot see the scar. It was just above where my ear meetts my face.

"I'm fully healed and very happy with the result of my Circumcision"
5 50Reviewed 04 Sep 2016 Review verified by phone and email.
Treatment Received: Circumcision
I decided to have my circumcision done at the age of 22 purely for hygienic/cosmetic reasons at the Thornhill Clinic.
I didn't know what to expect, however the staff are extremely friendly, professional and the clinic was spotless.

The consultation was very descriptive with diagrams and I felt very at ease with what will happen along with all my questions being answered, I decided after to proceed with the circumcision.
After signing the consent form it was off to the pre op room to be prepped and the local anaesthetic was the only pain I felt.
After a few minutes I was called into the operating room where after 50/60 mins my operation was performed completely pain free with the odd break to check on their progress.

I was in and out in under 2 hours and I drove back home the same day.
The whole day went smoothly and I'm fully healed and very happy with the result.

Great clinic, friendly staff, plenty of parking outside and very clean.
