Qualifications and ExperienceI have always enjoyed working with people and started mentoring young people and adults. I realised that this was the path I wanted to follow and gained my Grad Dip Counselling qualification. I am also a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
I have four years experience working in GP surgeries, voluntary settings, schools and colleges. I work with adults and young people. I offer short-term or long-term work.

How I work
I describe the way I work as humanistic, person-centred and integrative. I work within the BACP's ethical framework. I offer a safe place to explore your concerns and I don't judge. I try to understand things from your point of view and, together, we might find different ways of looking at things and new ways forward.

I am situated in a beautiful and peaceful village on the edge of the Howardian Hills just off the A64 between York and Malton.
Easily accessible from York, Haxby, Malton, Pickering, Helmsley, Ryedale, Pocklington, Scarborough and the East Riding.

I try to understand things from your point of view and, together, we might find different ways of looking at things and new ways forward.

What to expect at the first session:
Each session lasts for one hour. I will start by explaining what confidentiality means in the counselling context. Then we can begin to explore your concerns and decide if we would like to work with each other. If you have any questions about how I work please ask.
