Ms Erna Evans

Biography:
My consulting room in the West end of Folkestone is in a quiet location near Sandgate and close to the Leas. I offer a secure and confidential setting in which to think together with you about whatever issues may be troubling you - for example: anxiety, depression, repeating patterns of behaviour, relationship difficulties, loss, long term emotional problems, or a lack of fulfilment or meaning in your life. I have experience in private practice and in the NHS, working with individuals from very diverse backgrounds with a wide range of issues. I am registered with The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and accredited with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy MBACP (Accred). I offer both short to medium-term counselling and long-term psychoanalytic psychotherapy. This means that we will be able to work face-to-face with the additional option of working more intensively up to 3 times a week using the psychoanalytic couch. However we decide to work, the therapy process requires a commitment to weekly sessions and we would agree a regular time to meet on the same day each week. QUALIFICATIONS Master of Clinical Science in Psychotherapy, University of Kent. Post Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy Studies, University of Kent. HE Diploma in Integrative Counselling, University of Kent. MEMBERSHIPS Registered member of The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy MBACP (Accred.) Jennifer Crisp - at SOUTH KENT COUNSELLING AND PSYCHOTHERAPY

Ms Jennifer Crisp

Biography:
I offer a confidential setting for psychotherapy and psychodynamic counselling in a quiet cul-de-sac in the centre of St. Margaret’s–At-Cliffe. For those of you who don’t drive there is a frequent bus service from Deal, Dover and Canterbury. I came to psychotherapy after many years in educational settings. I began working with young children in primary schools and after many years and different roles I ended my educational career lecturing in education studies at a local university. I taught adults working in educational settings and also had some chapters published in books on the theme of ‘learning behaviours’. My love of these subjects eventually led me to study the emotional aspect of human development in more depth through the study of Psychotherapy. The practical components of my course took place in NHS mental health settings. Here I worked with a number of adults ranging in age from seventeen to seventy-five years, each with their own individual problems like depression, and/or relationship difficulties. QUALIFICATIONS Master of Clinical Science in Psychotherapy, University of Kent 2014 Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapy Studies, University of Kent 2009 Master of Arts in Curriculum Studies, University of Kent 1992 (Distinction) Postgraduate Diploma in Education, Christ Church University, 1989 Certificate in Education 1971 (Teaching qualification) MEMBERSHIPS Registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Member of the Canterbury Consortium of Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Psychotherapists (CCOPPP) You can find me listed on the UKCP and CCOPPP Find a Therapist sections of their websites

Ms Jane Roberts

Biography:
Jane Roberts’ private consultancy practice is situated in a quiet residential area of Sandgate. There are bus stops and train stations nearby and free on-road parking. The proximity to the sea offers a tranquil environment in which to explore problems or difficulties, which may be causing distress in your relationships or life. I have worked in mental health settings for more than 35 years and whilst I am registered with the UKCP as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist I have added value to my original psychotherapy training by taking an active interest in a broad range of psychotherapeutic interventions. This has provided the necessary CPD required for my registration and ensured that my clinical practice is up to date with current psychological thought and provision of care. Presently I am working in private practice and in a senior role within the NHS. I have a thorough understanding of diagnosis, treatment and provision of services which qualifies me to advise on which kind of talking therapy would be the most suitable for you and if necessary make a recommendation. I am registered with both UKCP and BACP, fully insured, CRB checked and can offer an extended initial consultation and psychological evaluation if required. Please feel welcome to request further details about this service. QUALIFICATIONS AND MEMBERSHIPS Master of Clinical Science in Psychotherapy, UKC Kent.
