Ulrike Kennedy works as a counsellor, psychotherapist and coach. From Germany, Ulrike began her professional career in Hamburg where she worked as a Marketing/PR-Professional in different senior management positions for over 13 years before moving to Ireland in 2005. During her corporate work, she discovered the benefits which coaching offers employees and organisation. The more she looked into it, the more she started to see ways to combine the world of management consultancy and the methods of coaching. She then trained as a coach and change management consultant in Hamburg and moved away from the field of Marketing into a new field of supporting people to reach their full potential, rethink their careers, achieves their goals and improves their chances for growth. Excited by the possibilities, Ulrike went for further training and completed a BA-degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy as well as a certificate in Analytical Psychology with Art Therapy. This equipped her to work with people on a deeper level and explore the underlying issues that make many of us behave according to certain patterns which may cause general unhappiness, depression, anxiety or relations difficulties. Ulrike works with individual clients as well as corporate clients. She has worked in a cancer care centre with people affected by the disease as well as their families and with the Counselling Service of NUI Galway. Ulrike places compassion and integrity at the core of her practice. She honours the unique path of everyone she works with, creating a safe place to enhance well-being. Ulrike is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
